My Story…
I grew up in the Midwest with parents who lived paycheck to paycheck. My dad even cleaned car dealerships on the weekends to make ends meet. When I was just 10 years old, my mother was diagnosed with a debilitating disease. That experience taught me two important lessons: life isn’t guaranteed, and you should be far more afraid of a life unlived than of pursuing your dreams.
So, at 19, I entered the travel industry and immediately fell head over heels in love. We’re talking serious wanderlust.
Within my first year, I became a million-dollar producer and went on to build an entire career as an educator in the travel industry. Years later, I launched my own agency. Despite my experience and success, I quickly discovered that building a travel business in today’s marketplace was an entirely different challenge.
It took me more than a decade to develop the proven systems that allowed me to effectively market, sell, and serve clients through a combination of strategy, skill, technology, and innovation designed for the modern world.
As I watched thousands of home-based travel professionals struggle with the same challenges, I made it my personal mission to share those systems with others. I wanted travel entrepreneurs to have the roadmap I wished I’d had when I started.
Today, more than 3,000 Certified Travel Professionals later, Wanderlust Campus has proudly earned a reputation as the Gold Standard of Certification in the Travel Industry.
But awards, accolades, and recognition aren’t what matter most to me.
What matters are the thousands of lives that have been transformed along the way: people who left careers they dreaded to build businesses they love; parents who gained the freedom to be more present with their children; women — and a few pretty amazing men — who built thriving businesses from home; and families who now travel the world together while running profitable companies on their own terms.
That’s the real impact of what we do.
We’ve helped change what’s possible for families around the world, and that’s the achievement I’m most proud of.
P.S. A little update on that little girl who used to ride along with her dad while he cleaned car dealerships…
Because of the business I built, I was able to retire my parents and care for them during the final seasons of their lives.
That’s my biggest flex.
Not the Birkin. Not the Chanel bags. Not the awards, media features, or recognition.
Although, let’s be honest, I do love my bags. I’m fancy now, y’all, and I’ve earned every bit of it.
But the greatest gift my business gave me wasn’t financial success. It was time — time with the people I love most, when it mattered most. And that’s exactly why I’m so passionate about helping others build businesses that create freedom, purpose, and a life by design.
