I am a big proponent of having mentors for travel agents.  I’ve had mentors for different aspects of my own travel business journey, and being a mentor to others is a big part of what I do now with Careers on Vacation.  

If you’re unsure about the benefits of having mentors as a travel agent, think about it this way.  You (hopefully) wouldn’t attempt to ⛏️ climb 🏔️ Mount Everest without hiring an experienced Sherpa guide to help you.  An experienced mentor can help you reach the top of the travel business mountain, too.

Seeking a mentor doesn’t take away from your own accomplishments.  You are still 📈 growing your own travel business and putting in the work.  But a good mentor has been where you are, and has learned a lot from the ups and downs of building their own travel business.  It just makes sense to take advantage of their experience to guide you. 

So many travel agents struggle to grow their businesses because they don’t have the right tools in their toolbox. 🙁
